WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY UPDATES IT'S BUS MAINTENANCE FACILITIES WITH THE LATEST VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANT™ FROM DIAGNOSTIC INNOVATIONS LLC.

Southfield, MI (February 26, 2006) - WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY (WMATA) enhances its vehicle maintenance capabilities. In an effort to more effectively maintain its bus fleet, WMATA recently added the Vehicle Diagnostic Assistant™ (VDA) to all of its maintenance facilities. The VDA is a user friendly, touch screen operated computer based tool that assists technicians with the repair of their vehicles. The VDA provides technicians with a vast array of tools that focus directly on the vehicle's engine, transmission and braking systems. Victor Guillot, Senior Bus Engineer for WMATA says, "The state of the art vehicle diagnostic system, which WMATA purchased from Diagnostic Innovations LLC, will reduce the downtime for the buses in the garage and improve efficiency."

WMATA and Diagnostic Innovations LLC have rolled out the system to each of WMATA's maintenance locations, where the technicians are using these new computer based diagnostic tools. The vehicle technicians can now analyze problems occurring with the buses quicker than ever. Harpal Kapoor, Assistant Manager of Bus Engineering for WMATA says, "With a full array of engines, and a variety of transmissions, ABS brake and multiplexing systems, the technicians can now diagnose and analyze fault codes and vehicle issues with a single diagnostic tool, which is user friendly and easy to understand. It is "one stop" shopping. They have access to fault trees and bus schematics at their fingertips."

Robert Golden, Manager of Bus Engineering for WMATA says, "Providing the highest quality service to our bus patrons is of the utmost importance to WMATA. Our patrons need to depend on timely bus services and our buses must be on the street and on schedule. We wanted our technicians to be able to accurately diagnose problems and we wanted fast turn around time on repairs; by securing the Vehicle Diagnostic Assistant™ we are now able to achieve those goals."

Drew Gibson, Manager of Fleet and Commercial Business for Diagnostic Innovations LLC says "We are excited about the opportunity to provide WMATA with our Vehicle Diagnostic Assistant™ which has been tailored to meet their specific needs. Our powerful system has a friendly graphical user interface that guides the technician through the proper choice of applications as well as interface boxes and connectors. It will help WMATA's well trained vehicle technicians become even more efficient in their job."
